Recently refurbished Penang Bayan Lepas International Airport (IATA: PEN) is one of Malaysia's larger and better-equipped airports, operated by Malaysia Airports, with regular connections to Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru. The Langkawi route has recently been stopped as part of Malaysia Airlines restructuring but there are increasing calls to have it reinstated.
